Battle of the Bands 2010

Teen bands compete for the championship, with prizes and publicity. All band members must be between the ages of 13 and 19 to be eligible. Bands selected to compete must pay a $50 entry fee per band (entry fee is $40 if 50 percent or more of the members are Carlsbad residents). Demo submissions must be received by Jan. 11, 2010.

Bands will need to send in an audition cassette or CD by Friday, March 12, 2010 to be considered, and our team will choose only the top teen performers to appear at Ribfest!

Bands Compete for $2,000 in Prizes!

Relate magazine and Eagle Bank Trust & Co. continue the search for local teen bands for an upcoming Battle of the Bands, which will be held at the Kirkwood Park Amphitheater on Sunday, May 31, 2009.
During this event to kick off the summer months, five teen bands will compete for over $2,000 in prizes! In addition to the Battle of the Bands, Relate will host fun giveaways and a Rock N Roll inspired Fashion Show.

Battle of the Underage Bands

For the eighth year Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) hosts Sound Off!, the Northwest's largest underage battle of the bands competition for musicians 21 and under. The competition supports the local underage music scene by giving young artists from all different backgrounds a once in a lifetime opportunity to come together and play their original music in a great all-ages atmosphere.

Community Music Center (CMC) Teen Jazz Band Performs

Members of the Music Center's Teen Jazz Band perform a selection of swing, rock, funk, and other jazz favorites. Program details TBA.

Teen Bands Sought in Suffern, New York

Are you in a band? If so, you won't want to miss this great opportunity to perform at the Suffern Library. We are accepting a limited number of bands so please register your band early.

For your band to qualify you must:

* be a Suffern High School student - the majority of the band members must attend Suffern High School
