The Glendale Main Library will host the Teen Battle of the Bands on August 9, 2008.

All musical styles welcome including alternative, blues, country, dance/techno, folk, hip-hop/rap, goth, jazz, funk, surf rock and any other style you can bring.

Prizes will be awarded to the first place band and to the runner-up.

Entry forms, along with rules and regulations, can be picked up at the Youth Desk at Glendale Main Library, 5959 W. Brown Street, Glendale, Arizona.

High School Bands Compete to Raise Awareness of Teen Suicide

Teen Link’s Inaugural Battle of the Bands is an event aimed at raising awareness about the prevalence of Teen Suicide through a cutting edge competition between Birmingham's Best High School Bands. The event will be held at Workplay Theater on Sunday August 3rd beginning at 6:00 p.m.

SWAMPSCOTT'S ANNUAL LOCAL TEEN BAND CONCERT

The weather is heating up and it's time to feel the burn!
That's right, Swampscott's Annual Local Teen Band Concert is at Fisherman's Beach, Saturday June 21st.
WFNX will be on site to get things started at 4 p.m. and the music will keep on going until 9 p.m. followed by a beach bonfire.
Admission is FREE, so you've got no excuse for missing an afternoon of great music on the water. All brought to you by the Swampscott Public Library and Swampscott Arts.

Teen Concert 2008 hosted by Coral Springs seeks musicians of all genres.

The City is looking for musically talented teens for the upcoming teen concert to be held January 26, 2008 from 6 to 10 pm at the Sportsplex.
Auditions for all local teen bands, hip-hop, step team dancers and drum line are welcome to show what they’ve got on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Coral Springs Gymnasium. All types of music are welcome.

2007 Battle of the Bands Competition

Get ready for some excitement! Rockford Public Library is hosting its second annual Battle of the Bands, a music competition for bands with members ages 14-21, Sunday, October 21, 2007.

The first-time battle of the bands event was held last July and eight bands competed for cash and prizes. Scores were tallied from a panel of judges and audience votes.

WHO: Any and all acoustic musicians, regardless of age, who would like to play on stage at the State Fair. Jazz, country, folk, gospel, rock and roll, barbershop quartet, classical violin... if you've got talent, we want to hear it!

WHAT: Sign up to jam with us! We'll provide the stage, PA system, and the crowd.

Comic Book Heroes, a modern rock band started by four friends, who
also happen to be 14 and 15 years old, will be performing at the International Pop Overthrow Festival on August 4, at 7:00 pm at The Knitting Factory, Hollywood, CA.

Local teen band Skyline Expression won the 2007 Battle of the Bands competition held in Champaign, Illinois on June 9. Their Grand Prize: 3 hours of recording time at Pogo Studio, plus an appearance on WPGU 107.1. Band members Shane Howarter, guitar, Maxx McGaphey, keyboard, Adam Cowden, drums, Quinn McGhee, bass, all attend local schools.
