Musicians Wanted to Perform at Oregon State Fair
** Hurry only three weeks left to sign-up!
WHO: Any and all acoustic musicians, regardless of age, who would like to play on stage at the State Fair. Jazz, country, folk, gospel, rock and roll, barbershop quartet, classical violin... if you've got talent, we want to hear it!
WHAT: Sign up to jam with us! We'll provide the stage, PA system, and the crowd.
WHERE: The State Fairgrounds in Salem.
WHEN: Daily from Friday, August 24 to Monday, September 3, 2007. The Artisan's Village is open from 11 AM to 8 PM. Each day has been divided up into 2-hour sessions. Feel free to sign up for as many sessions and days as you want. You do not have to play continuously during your time slot. Consider sharing stage time if you don't have enough material for the whole two hour slot.
WHY: The Artisan's Village is a fun opportunity for you to:
- Show off your talent for a statewide audience
- Teach people about your genre of music
- Promote yourself or your band
- Sell CD's and/or tapes during your performance
For participating in the Artisan's Village, you will also receive Free Admission to the State Fair and free VIP Parking on the fairgrounds. In addition, musicians may bring a guest to help them set up and/or sell CDs during the show. Guests will also receive free admission to the fair.
HOW: It's easy!
1. Click Here to look at the Schedule and pick out the day(s) you'd like to appear. Any time slot marked "TBA" is still open!
2. Apply for the time slots. Your application should include your name, music genre, and either a link, audio file, or other recording of your music. Send your information by any of the following.

- On the Willamette Art Forum: Post a reply or a new topic on this thread.
- In Person: If you're in Salem, come by the WAC during business hours.
