Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center hosts teen bands twice a month. The Teen Bands Program provides a safe, chaperoned music and dance experience free of alcohol and chemicals, for teens from all over the Kennebec Valley. It is one of the few venues in the state to welcome teen bands and to provide a place for young musicians to play for their peers.
Bands can call Johnson Hall to reserve a date. We require bands to sign a contract and to provide chaperons, and we set a limit of four bands per evening. Johnson Hall volunteers sell tickets and supervise set-up and clean-up.
